Lowering of Business Registration Fee Rate for Hong Kong Companies
(Effective from June 17, 2022)

The "Business Registration Ordinance (Amendment of Schedule 2) Order 2022" was gazetted on June 10, 2022. According to the order, the fee rate for business and branch registration will be reduced from HKD 250 per year to HKD 150 per year. The new fee rate applies to: (1) applications for simultaneous business registration submitted by incorporated entities on or after June 17, 2022; and (2) business or branch registration certificates that come into effect on or after June 17, 2022.
